The reorganisation of the Institute is also an opportunity to\u00a0improve accessibility to the hospital facility<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>for users and staff, identifying shared solutions with the Authorities involved.<\/p>\n

The project intends to promote and enhance access to the Institute through green \/ public mobility, encouraging soft mobility and partnerships with the Italian State Railways, Ferrovie dello Stato, and the Urban Transport Service (AMT).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Road system<\/h2>\n

    The construction activities will affect via Redipuglia,\u00a0limited to the stretch between the entrance of the Gaslini Institute<\/strong>, Largo Paolo Tolentino, and\u00a0Largo Cattenei<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The changes to the local road system will take place starting from\u00a0<\/span>February\u00a02024<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0executive project of the new road system<\/strong> is in the process of being defined, in collaboration\u00a0with the Municipality of Genoa<\/strong>\u00a0(through the\u00a0Local Police<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    To ensure accessibility to the construction site areas by Via Redipuglia, an alternate direction will be created regulated by traffic lights, activated only when heavy vehicles heading to the construction site arrive.<\/p>\n

    Parking spaces<\/h2>\n

    The new road system on Via Redipuglia will lead to the elimination of some parking lots, to allow for the necessary widening of the roadway.<\/p>\n

    The construction activities will lead to the elimination of some parking spaces also in the areas inside the Institute.<\/p>\n

    To make up for the loss of parking spaces, both inside and outside the Institute, thanks to the collaboration with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Azienda Regionale Territoriale per l’Edilizia (A.R.T.E.)<\/strong>, approximately 80 more parking spaces will be created, in the area of the former psychiatric hospital.<\/p>\n
